About Me

Before transitioning into the tech and data world, I served in the United States Marine Corps and worked as a firefighter. Those experiences shaped how I approach problems today and instilled discipline under pressure, a strong sense of teamwork, and the ability to stay calm and analytical when stakes are high. That mindset continues to guide how I work with data, systems, and complex decision making environments.

I am naturally curious and continuously seek out ways to sharpen my skills. Outside of formal work, I actively pursue courses, certifications, and hands on projects in data analytics, data science, and quantitative trading. While I am not particularly drawn to traditional classroom learning, I fully recognize the value of structured education and am currently exploring advanced degrees such as an MBA or Financial Engineering. I see this not as a checkbox, but as a strategic step toward becoming more versatile, adaptive, and effective in high impact analytical roles.

My long term focus is breaking into the quantitative trading and analyst space, where data, probability, and decision making intersect at scale. What draws me to this field is the blend of rigor and creativity, using models, statistics, and code to uncover signals, manage risk, and make informed decisions in uncertain environments. I am especially interested in roles that sit at the crossroads of analytics, engineering, and finance, where curiosity and precision matter just as much as speed.

Beyond work, I am deeply invested in growth, both professionally and personally. I train in kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which reinforces discipline, adaptability, and continuous improvement. I am an avid anime fan, appreciate strong storytelling and world building, and value collaboration. I have also participated in hackathons, where I worked alongside diverse teams to tackle new and unfamiliar challenges.

Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our newborn daughter, who keep me grounded and motivated. Everything I build, from skills to projects to systems, is done with an eye toward long term impact, resilience, and growth.

I am driven by one core idea. Master complex systems, learn relentlessly, and apply data to make better decisions in the real world.

“I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.”
